Wait, aren't those dirty?

My roommate is cleaning out the dishwasher right now. I've put several dirty dishes in there since last night; everyone has been pretty good about rinsing off their dishes before they put them in, so I can understand that he might think they are clean. But I know I put a knife in there with butter on it that wasn't clean this morning. Let's see what he does with it.

waiting...

waiting...

He looked at it and tossed it in the sink. Then he put all the rest of the silverware into the drawer. Also in there was a dirty bowl that I used this morning for my yogurt and granola, a bowl from last night that I used for cereal, and plates and knives that many people used to eat pie on. All had been RINSED nicely though, so no chance of getting sick right? *sniff*

I can't wait to marry Emily.

Now comes the moral dilemma of sharing this information with my roommates, including the one that cleaned out the dishwasher...

What they don't know can't hurt them.

I'd share, and help him load it back up. :-)

Wait, you sat there and watched him do it without stopping him??

Yeah, I don't understand why you didn't stop him.

I understand why you didn't stop him. Just to see if he was really going to do it. Which he did. It makes perfect sense. Except now you can never trust any of the dishes in the cabinet.

I was just thrilled to find out that there are college students who actually rinse their dishes and place them in dishwashers! Miracle!

Time to purchase paper plates/cups and plastic utensils.
Yuck!

I don't understand why you didn't walk over and stand right next to him, wait till he was done, and then tell him.
