She was already in the bathroom and no brushing had even taken place! All I did was place the toothbrush in my mouth.

oh yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!

I got an 88 on my tax final. This means I keep my B in the class. I'm very very happy about that. So I'll end up with an A in business law, a B in my 301 accounting class, a B in my tax class, and drum roll... a big beautiful C in my 333 class. Yay! First C since I've been back from my mission. Actually I'm not thrilled about that, but since about a third of students either drop out or end up retaking that class I'm feeling okay with it. Br. Clarke's wish is that everybody gets sick of the class and drop before the end of the semester. I think our class was half of what it was on the first day.

What makes me even more happy than that is the fact that I will be married in 18 DAYS! I know pretty amazing. And I will be getting married to the most amazing woman. Beautiful voice, smarts, and gorgeous. I definitely got the better end of the deal. All she got was looks.

Emily has been very busy getting everything ready for our wedding. Yesterday I told her that I'd really like to be there right now to help her and make things more fun, but you do what you can. At least her mom is in Utah now and able to help keep her sane. Anne really has helped a lot with the wedding too, especially with all the wedding labels. Thanks Anne.

I can't tell you how happy I am right now. The semester is FINALLY over and I'm getting married in a very short time. Happiest time of my life right now.

Happy Father's Day pops!

Well pops, happy fathers day. It's nice to have a good example in a world today that's full of bad ones.

One of my best momories of dad is going to fathers and sons outing with him. Roasting marshmallows and eating pancakes. The games and activities were pretty good, but I think I most enjoyed walking around the Santa Fe damn down there with dad and the brothers. I am also grateful for all the encouraging letters I received from my dad on my mission. Sometimes thy came at a really needed point in my mission.

So thanks pops for being a good man when sometimes they are hard to find these days.

That time of year...

I think it's about time I purchase another nose hair trimmer. I was going to get my old one while at home during the break, but it wasn't there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Charles has nice short nose hairs.

Or i could just grow a mustache

I misses her

My sweetheart is gone away. Gone away to Italy. I won't see her for about seven weeks. :(

Now my life turns into homework, working out, and teaching the priesthood lesson.

Ohhhh what a looong time until August.

Wait, aren't those dirty?

My roommate is cleaning out the dishwasher right now. I've put several dirty dishes in there since last night; everyone has been pretty good about rinsing off their dishes before they put them in, so I can understand that he might think they are clean. But I know I put a knife in there with butter on it that wasn't clean this morning. Let's see what he does with it.

waiting...

waiting...

He looked at it and tossed it in the sink. Then he put all the rest of the silverware into the drawer. Also in there was a dirty bowl that I used this morning for my yogurt and granola, a bowl from last night that I used for cereal, and plates and knives that many people used to eat pie on. All had been RINSED nicely though, so no chance of getting sick right? *sniff*

I can't wait to marry Emily.

Now comes the moral dilemma of sharing this information with my roommates, including the one that cleaned out the dishwasher...

What they don't know can't hurt them.

Will it ever end?!?!

B on my business law test, B on my accounting 321(tax) and an A on my 301. I'm glad it's all over until Monday.

I got a hair cut today and the barber parted it instead of combing it forward like I usually do. Emily likes it a lot. It's staying.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

Phew...

I pulled a B on my business law test. Feel pretty okay with that.

I also have a surprise for Emily today.

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Emily got her letter from the temple today explaining some of the rules and proceedings for the endowment and the sealing ordinance. Yessssssssssss!!!

I'm a MonStER!

Last night during our Brahms Requiem dress rehearsal, Br. Kempton ended up standing next to me. Br. Kempton was my vocal teacher my very first semester I had vocal lessons, so it's been a while since he has heard me sing. He also conducts the collegiate choir which Emily sings in. After reading off some notes he took during our first run through he announces that he is going to stand in between the tenors and the basses so he can sing whichever part he wants. He walked up the bleachers and stood right next to me. Crap. I don't know the requiem as well as I should so I was pretty sure Br. Kempton was going to be pretty disgusted with me missing notes and entrances. I sang most of it OK, but then I really biffed a short run about 20 measures from the end. Br. Kempton even leaned over and pointed down to indicate I was singing waaay too high. Yeah, whoops. It was late and I was tired. Well, afterward Br. Kempton turned around and started giving directions about tonight for call time and what not, then he turned and looked at me and slapped me on the arm with his score. "You're a monster!" he said. "I love singing next to you!" What? Br. Kempton enjoys singing next to me? He said that he would lean over when he needed a note and would listen to me sing so he could get back on. Woah. I was pretty surprised.

So moral of the story is that Emily is gorgeous and sings beautifully, and I'm a monster.

My happy place

Well ladies and gents, let's tall about how great my weekend was.

Friday Emily's mom, sister, and grandma all got into town. They are all very nice and while all of these women are together they are a very lively bunch to say the least. This was also the last day to study for my accounting test, so in addition to the three hours in which I found time to study earlier in the week I studied for about another five that evening. I took breaks from studying when Emily would come to see me before and after her performance in opera scenes that evening. I believe I studied until about 11 p.m..

The next morning I didn't make it to the gym, but I did make it to Cleo's apartment for puffy French toast, which she did a very good job on. Thanks Cleo. After that I trudged my way to the library to begin my 4 hour accounting test, but I met Emily on the way and she gave me some words of encouragement. We also talked about practice rooms.

Four hours later I came out of the library with and 88% on a test that is worth 20% of my grade. I wanted atleast a 92, but I'll take it anyway.

Then at 7:30 I joined Emily's family and Charles and Laura for opera scenes. Emily sang BEAUTIFULY!! Oh jeez. I'm just sad I only got to hear her do it once. She wasn't even feeling at the top of her game. That didn't matter though; she sounded wonderful.

After that Emily's mom, Anne took us all out to Applebee's. Thanks! I got an Oreo shake. Baby oh baby.

So all in all it was a pretty good day. Yep.

My Angel of Music

I already knew Emily was a much better singer than me, and I already knew she was an amazing soprano, but Hot Dog! I've never been so blown away by such a beautiful sound! SERIOUSLY! Emily's voice is gorgeous. I sat in her master class on Monday, and she did a piece from Elixir of Love. I really don't think I'm over exaggerating either. I've taken private lessons for 3 semesters and people seem to enjoy listening to me sing, so I know a thing or two about singing; I know what sounds good and what doesn't. Emily sounds wonderful.

I'm also excited because she is going to be performing next weekend for a night of opera scenes that the music department is putting on. I can't wait to hear her again. In addition her mom and sister will be in town that weekend to hear her. I wonder who's going to be more nervous that night.

Just in case you didn't know

Emily is an amazing singer. I went to her concert last night with some friends, and we all agree that the choir she is in sounds amazing. Since Emily sings the high soprano part, is extremely gorgeous, and one of the best singers in
collegiate choir, she stands at the end of the soprano line facing the audience. She looked really good last night and from what I heard she sounded really good last night. Because they blended so well, I couldn't hear her in particular; but when those sopranos hit that high D I knew she was on it. Beautiful job last night Emily.

And don't get jealous people, but I get to listen to her sing in master class on Monday as well. Booya!

Good idea. Bad idea.

Someone posted on lizz's blog that her parents had rice krispie wedding cakes. That's not cheap, it's inexpensive.

Stupid people who should automatically know what I want to do before them

I totally forgot I had this blog until last night while I was at Charles and Laura's apartment. The only thing I really have to say is that I'm updating my blog with my Ipod touch. I should also note that I was going to sing my duet arrangement of Savior Redeemer of My Soul at church this semester, but some girl just sang it last week in sacrament meeting. No it wasn't that great and no Lyle she wasn't hot. But everything should be okay. Maybe I can go sing with a friend in another ward.
